We are currently seeking to fill the following position:-


Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse

We are seeking a full time Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse to join our team here at Swan Meadow Nurseries. A level 3 qualification is preferred but not essential for this position, and further training can be provided to the right candidate if required.

Swan Meadow Private Day Nurseries are made up of two ‘Outstanding’ childcare provisions in the picturesque village of Delph, in Saddleworth; they offer consistently exceptional childcare and early education. Swan Meadow Nursery is a family run business that cares for 110 children per day aged from 6 weeks to 5 years.

As an Early Years Practitioner at Swan Meadow, you will:

  • Provide the children with a safe, secure and home from home environment
  • Operate a Key Worker system and liaise with parents/carers, and senior staff
  • Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
  • Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or be willing to work towards this
  • Have gained experience within a nursery setting, preferred but not essential
  • Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

It is important to us that all candidates are committed to providing first class childcare, showing flexibility and creativity in their work and continuously providing new ideas and suggestions. All staff and volunteers must also share our commitment to safeguarding children and young people within their work.

The position available is a permanent full time position, contracted to 42 hours per week. The competitive salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The nursery operates between 7.15am to 6.00pm and practitioners work monthly shift patterns.
